SFPOA Board Update
Updated: October 2026
Happy Fall Y’all!
The temperatures are getting cooler and the leaves are starting to turn— a beautiful season has begun in the mountains!
We have some updates we would like to share with you.
We would like to welcome Keith Herbenar as an alternate on the Smoky Falls Property Owners Association (SFPOA) Board. Keith will serve as an alternate, along with Roger Levine, who also serves as the Smoky Falls Historian. Thank you both!
Additionally, we would like to advise that Jim Drews (who had originally expressed an interest in the President’s position on the Board) has rescinded his interest in the position.
Vivian B. Alvarez, (who was most recently President), has agreed/volunteered to stay on as President until we have other nominations.
The SFPOA Board has open nominations for either the President position or the Vice President position. Vivian will fill the Vice President position, once we have a new President, per official records.
Please kindly advise the SFPOA Board if any resident in good standing (dues and/or special assessments have been paid) is interested in becoming a volunteer Board Member.
Per the official records, as it stands now, Vivian Alvarez becomes Vice President as of October 1st, and the President’s position becomes vacant.
You may make nominations or send questions by clicking on the button. Thank you for noting the above matters!
Sincerely,
THE SMOKY FALLS PROPERTY OWNERS ASSOCIATION BOARD

Reminder…
The local Fire Marshall has brought to our attention that some residents aren’t regularly trimming the trees and shrubs adjacent to their driveways, which could possibly block an emergency vehicle from getting to a home or property during an actual emergency. Please understand that every resident is responsible for maintaining the landscaping that is adjacent to their driveways so emergency vehicles can easily reach every home or property. Please reference the “FAQ” tab of this website for more information.
